Department's Functions

This is our Roles and Responsibilities;

  1. Preparing, implementing and monitoring programs for improving livestock health and veterinary services
  2. To provide and scale up livestock disease control, surveillance and emergency
    preparedness
  3. To control and regulate the livestock laboratory and quality control services
  4. Serve as chief veterinary officer and responsible for registration of private and public veterinary practitioners.
